Zelensky to Meet Biden

Volodymyr Zelensky plans to meet with U.S. President Joe Biden next week when he travels to the U.S. to attend the United Nations General Assembly. This was reported by NBC News, citing a senior Ukrainian official.

At the same time, the network notes that it is still unclear whether the meeting will take place in New York, where the General Assembly will be held, or at the White House.

In turn, Reuters, citing an American official, reports that the U.S. President and Zelensky will meet after the conclusion of the General Assembly. The last time Biden and Zelensky met was in July in Vilnius at the NATO summit.

Earlier, Politico, citing diplomats, reported that Zelensky may sit at the same table with the Russian representative during the Security Council meeting next week. As a senior official from the Ukrainian government stated, Zelensky hopes to gain support from other countries during his speech at the UN General Assembly and during meetings with foreign leaders.

The UN General Assembly will take place from September 19 to 26.
