Yerevan Is Choosing: Who Refused to Participate in the Debate?

The pre-election debate for the Yerevan City Council elections, featuring the candidates for mayor, has started live on public television. It is important to note that Andranik Tevanyan, the mayoral candidate from the "Mother Armenia" alliance, and Hayk Marutyan, the mayoral candidate from the "National Progress" party, have both refused to participate in the debate.

Earlier, Andranik Tevanyan stated that his target is Nikol Pashinyan and that he will not engage in a debate with any number one candidate. Hayk Marutyan also mentioned that he considers any event conducted by Petros Ghazaryan to be an imitation of a real debate.
