Political ‘Provocative Message’, Use of Explosives in Stadium: UEFA Initiates Proceedings Against HFF
Following the match against Croatia in the Euro 2024 qualifying round, UEFA has initiated proceedings against the head coach of the Armenian national team, Alexander Petrakov, and the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA).
UEFA accuses the FFA of obstructing public passage, issuing a political provocative message, using explosives in the stadium, and delaying the start of the game.
Petrakov is also accused of causing a delay in the match's kickoff.
It is worth noting that during the match, the flag of Artsakh was present in the stadium, resulting in several pauses in the game. Additionally, an incident occurred between Armenian fans and Croatian fans due to the aggressive behavior of the latter in the stands.
It has also been reported that the Football Federation of Azerbaijan will appeal to UEFA regarding what they term the “provocation by Armenians” during the Armenia-Croatia match in the Euro 2024 qualifying phase.
