Nearly 50,000 Residential Buildings Damaged in Morocco Earthquake
In Morocco, around 50,000 residential buildings have been damaged, either completely or partially, in five regions affected by a recent earthquake. This information has been reported by РИА Новости.
According to the agency, Moroccan authorities will provide 30,000 dirhams (approximately $2,900) to each affected family.
The earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.9, struck on the night of September 9, with its epicenter located 80 kilometers from Marrakech at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The death toll has surpassed 2,900.
