The U.S. to Impose Sanctions on Turkish Companies - Reuters
The Biden administration is set to impose sanctions on five Turkish companies and one individual for facilitating the circumvention of sanctions against Russia. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources from the U.S. Treasury Department, as conveyed by Tass.
"Over the past 18 months, we have shared our concerns with the Turkish government and private sector and informed them about the significant risks of doing business with (the Russian Federation), against which we have imposed sanctions," added the Reuters source.
The restrictions will affect Turkish companies such as 'Margiana Insaat Dis Ticaret', 'Demirci Bilisim Ticaret Sanayi', 'ID Ship Agency', and 'CTL Limited'. They are accused of transferring essential dual-use goods to Russia for conducting "special military operations in Ukraine."
