Employees Who Tossed Garbage Bins in Yerevan Subjected to Disciplinary Action

Recently, a video circulated on the internet showing employees of the "Yerevan Garbage Collection and Sanitary Cleaning" organization, operating under the Yerevan Municipality, tossing garbage bins from a garbage truck.

Factor.am sent a written inquiry to the Yerevan Municipality to determine whether the involved employees faced any consequences.

"The footage that appeared online was recorded on Komitas Avenue in the Arabkir administrative district. The community employees of the 'Yerevan Garbage Collection and Sanitary Cleaning' organization engaged in improper waste collection practices contrary to established procedures. The garbage collectors involved have been subjected to disciplinary action for not fulfilling their work obligations diligently and for failing to handle property carefully during the execution of their assigned tasks," the municipality informed the media.

In response to the media's question about how many garbage trucks and bins have been acquired in 2023, they stated:

"In 2023, the community organization received four vehicles of the 'MAZ 5904C2-012' model."
