Azerbaijan Sets Conditions: As Much Aid Enters Through Aghdam, So Will It Through Lachin
Despite the fact that on September 11, the Russian Red Cross delivered one vehicle of humanitarian aid into Stepanakert through Aghdam, which was a prerequisite for the opening of the nine-month-closed Lachin corridor within 24 hours, as of yesterday, Azerbaijan has violated the agreement by not opening the Lachin corridor and allowing the international mission of the Red Cross, Russian peacekeepers, and private companies supplying essential goods to Artsakh to enter the Republic of Artsakh. This was reported by the daily newspaper "Hraparak."
For several days, the Russian side has been negotiating with Azerbaijan regarding the fulfillment of the obligations undertaken. However, the media outlet has been informed that Azerbaijan does not agree to the transportation of large-scale cargoes and wants to reach an agreement that Red Cross cargoes should also be transported to Stepanakert. It sets a condition that as much as enters through Aghdam, so much should also enter through Lachin. Peacekeepers have conveyed to our side that they are doing everything possible to ensure that Azerbaijan fulfills the agreement, as this primarily impacts their credibility.
