Armenia Might Face Situation Where the World Sends Decommissioned Vehicles, Says Deputy Prime Minister

The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan, has raised concerns that Armenia could find itself in a situation where the entire world sends decommissioned vehicles to the country. However, he noted that there has been no indication that Armenia is becoming a destination for the disposal of old cars.

“We are closely monitoring the situation to ensure that this does not happen,” he stated during a government meeting.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, if they sense that such a trend is emerging, they will immediately implement regulations to curb it.

Additionally, it was previously reported that the existing VAT exemption for electric vehicles in Armenia is expected to be extended until January 1, 2025. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has discussed matters related to the import and incentives for electric vehicles.
