Possibility of Supplying Electricity to Iran via Armenia and Azerbaijan Being Considered: Shulginov
Moscow is considering the possibility of supplying 300 MW of electricity through Azerbaijan to Armenia, and from there to Iran and other countries. This was stated by Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“At the moment, we are looking at the opportunity to supply electricity simply through Azerbaijan to Armenia, from there to Iran, and possibly also to other countries,” he said.
He noted that Moscow is in talks with Tehran and Baku to use existing infrastructure in the first phase. According to Shulginov, all project participants have an interest in this matter.
