Who is the Senior Defense Official Arrested for Receiving Bribes?

The senior official of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) who was taken into custody from his office about a month ago and subsequently arrested is Smbat Dadoyan, head of the draft office in the Syunik region of the MOD’s recruitment and mobilization service. This is reported by ‘Hraparak’.

It is noteworthy that on August 15, the Anti-Corruption Committee announced the arrest of a senior official of the MOD on charges of receiving bribes. Dadoyan is suspected of freeing conscripted young people from military service in exchange for approximately $23,000 over the past one or two years.
