Head of Sputnik Moldova Expelled from Country

Vitali Denisov, the head of Sputnik Moldova, has been expelled from Moldova and banned from entering the country for 10 years. Denisov announced this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

The journalist recounted that migration service officials came to his home in Chișinău, placed him in a vehicle, and took him to the airport under the expulsion order.

"They didn't allow me to gather my belongings, take my pets, and so on. I received an order for a 10-year ban on entering Moldova. The ambassador has been notified," the journalist stated.

Vitali Denisov told RIA Novosti that, according to Moldovan authorities, he must leave the country because he is considered a threat to national security. Dmitry Kiselev, the general director of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, commented on the expulsion of the journalist, who had the necessary permits to work in the country, saying that the unconstructive policies of the Moldovan authorities cross all boundaries and damage international relations.
