Hajiyev Blames Armenia and Artsakh Again for Not Opening the Lachin Corridor
“We continue to be engaged with the International Committee of the Red Cross to ensure the swift and simultaneous opening of the Aghdam (Aghna)-Khankendi and Lachin-Khankendi (Stepanakert) routes for ICRC trucks, as agreed upon in the phone conversation between the President of Azerbaijan and Secretary of State Blinken on September 1,” Azerbaijan's presidential assistant Hikmet Hajiyev wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Since that day, 12 calendar days have passed, but the illegal regime subordinate to Armenia is refusing to allow this crossing and the opening of the routes. We call on our international partners to double their efforts and exert pressure on Armenia and the illegal regime under its control to put an end to this destructive policy,” Hajiyev stated.
It is worth noting that today marks the 276th day of Azerbaijan's blockade of Artsakh.
