Initially Opposed Citizens Allow Entrance of Russian Cargo into Artsakh
A truck carrying humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation has reached Stepanakert via the Akna-Askeran road. According to Askeran Mayor Haik Shamiryants, citizens gathered near the Tank memorial initially protested and did not allow the truck to enter Artsakh. However, they later came to an agreement, after which the Russian Red Cross truck, escorted by police, arrived in the capital Stepanakert.
Earlier, it was reported that on September 12, humanitarian cargo entered the Republic of Artsakh through the Russian Red Cross and its vehicles, with the permission of the republic's authorities, via Askeran. The aid contains vital goods produced in Russia.
