Negotiations on unblocking transport links in the South Caucasus continue, but rising tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan negatively affect this process, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Ovechuk to reporters during the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
“Any escalation always adversely impacts our work. We fall behind, we delay, and it takes time before we can return to the table and start working again,” Ovechuk stated.
Ovechuk added that trilateral negotiations regarding transport communications between Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are ongoing.
