Kremlin Has Not Received Alerts on Armenia's Exit from CSTO: Peskov
Western-oriented analysts are discussing Armenia's desire to withdraw from the CSTO, but the Russian Federation has not seen any official signals on this matter. This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
“We have seen many discussions on this topic, including those by Western-oriented analysts in Armenia discussing the question of Armenia’s exit from the CSTO. However, we have not received any official signals in this regard,” Peskov said.
“Of course, against the backdrop of Armenia not expressing a desire to conduct exercises with the CSTO and now announcing its intention to conduct exercises with the Americans, very deep analysis is required to understand why Armenia is making such decisions and what goals it is pursuing,” Peskov told reporters.
He also noted, “Of course, we will try to understand all this. But we will do it through close partner dialogue with the Armenian side.”
