Kremlin Confirms: Kim Jong Un to Visit Russia at Putin's Invitation
The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, is set to visit Russia soon at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as confirmed by the Kremlin. Earlier, the presidential press service had denied reports about preparations for such a visit.
“At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong Un will soon make an official visit to the Russian Federation,” the statement reads.
Previously, The New York Times reported that the DPRK leader would travel to the Far East in the coming days, citing sources. It was mentioned that Kim Jong Un would meet with Vladimir Putin, and South Korean YTN television reported that the meeting could take place on September 13.
