Erdogan Announces Plans to Discuss Nagorno-Karabakh Situation with Pashinyan on September 11
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that he considers Armenia's actions in Nagorno-Karabakh to be erroneous and intends to hold a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by TACC.
“I have been negotiating on this issue with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and I may hold talks with Pashinyan tomorrow,” Erdogan emphasized during a press conference following the G20 summit.
“The steps being taken here, especially in Karabakh, are wrong actions; this cannot be tolerated, and it is not tolerated by EU member states either. Tomorrow, we will tell Mr. Pashinyan in the upcoming negotiations that such elections are absolutely unacceptable. Our friends, the Western countries and others whom we have met so far do not accept these elections,” Erdogan remarked.
