German Foreign Minister Makes Unannounced Visit to Kyiv
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock arrived in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on the morning of September 11 for an unannounced visit. Details regarding the German minister's trip were not disclosed due to security considerations.
This marks the fourth visit by the German minister to Ukraine in the past year and a half. She arrived in Kyiv by train from Poland, where she was greeted at the station by Germany's ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Jaeger.
Upon arrival, Baerbock expressed her intention to provide further support to Ukraine in "economic, humanitarian, and military aspects." She also emphasized the importance of reforms aimed at combating corruption in Kyiv.
