VIDEO: 'Turk'. Relatives of Fallen Soldiers Accompany Minister with Whistles
During a discussion on Garik Galeyan's detention measure, an incident occurred in front of the court. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan and Deputy Minister Karen Giloian were present as they attended the funeral ceremony of three-time Olympic champion Albert Azaryan nearby.
Several citizens approached them, raising concerns about the absence of textbooks, to which Zhanna Andreasyan responded that the ministry has released clarifications regarding the issue. She did not answer other questions, including those from journalists, stating that she did not plan to respond to questions at the funeral site and asked to keep their distance. "I am here for the funeral of our Olympic champion, please move away. I am not here for a meeting with the parents," said Minister Zhanna Andreasyan addressing the journalists.
"Let us conduct the funeral normally," noted Deputy Minister Karen Giloian.
The parents of fallen soldiers accompanied them with chants of "Turk." It was reported that Garik Galeyan, father of soldier Mkhitar Galeyan who died in the 44-day war, was detained for 2 months. According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, during a personal search of G. Galeyan, a polyethylene bag containing three identical polyethylene packages weighing 1.59 grams, 1.51 grams, and 1.60 grams, respectively, with a unique odor resembling marijuana, was found and seized.
