“They are trying to break us, perhaps we were not broken enough; now they are trying even harder to break us—my spine has been broken, and now they want to smash my head,” said Astghik Galeyan, the mother of Mikheti Galeyan, who was killed in the 44-day war in Artsakh.

Astghik Galeyan has not yet been able to meet with her husband, Garik Galeyan, who was arrested yesterday. According to Astghik, her husband is being politically persecuted for not complying.

It should be noted that the matter of the preventive measure for Garik Galeyan, the father of the deceased serviceman Mikheti Galeyan, is currently being discussed at the first-instance court of general jurisdiction in Yerevan. Supporters of Garik Galeyan are currently holding a protest in front of the court. The parents of the deceased soldiers are demanding his release.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee reported that during Garik Galeyan's personal search, a polyethylene bag was found and seized from him, which contained three identical polyethylene packages weighing 1.59 grams, 1.51 grams, and 1.60 grams, with a unique odor resembling marijuana. According to the conclusion received from the police expert center, the substance found in his possession is classified as marijuana.
