Egypt Calls on G20 to Revamp Global Food Security System
The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, has called on the G20 to rethink the global food security system. He made this announcement during the Africa-Europe meeting held in New Delhi as part of the G20 summit.
He emphasized that the growing food crisis necessitates this decision. The Egyptian presidential office clarified that leaders and representatives from Europe, including Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and France, attended the meeting, alongside African leaders from South Africa, Nigeria, and Comoros.
The participants discussed various issues, particularly the question of the association's membership in the African Union.
