Man Who Killed Transgender Individual Provides Details of Incident

A 28-year-old resident of the Armavir region, who is in custody for killing a transgender individual, has provided testimonies to the Investigative Committee. According to ArmLur.am, he revealed to law enforcement that he was responsible for the death of the 28-year-old transgender person and detailed the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The young man stated that the transgender individual owed him 400,000 drams and that he went to the victim's house to collect the debt. Upon his arrival, the victim opened the door and attempted to attack him with a knife. In self-defense, he took the knife from the transgender person's hand and inflicted several wounds.

When questioned by the investigator about why he burned the house, the young man replied that he does not remember how the fire started.
