The State Revenue Committee Discovers Discrepancies in Cargo Transportations by 'VAILDBERIZ' Company

During a customs control conducted at the Bagratashen checkpoint of the Eastern Customs Directorate of the State Revenue Committee, violations of customs regulations were discovered regarding the 'VAILDBERIZ' LLC. These violations were related to the under-reporting of goods during importation and over-reporting during exportation.

Specifically, investigations revealed that during the imports conducted by the company in August, two transit declarations had incorrectly reported the actual weight of the goods. In one instance, the weight documented on the shipping papers was reported to be about 2 tons less than the actual weight of the cargo, while in another case, it was about 2.6 tons less.

As a result, the declared cargoes were sent to a customs warehouse for further monitoring activities. Additionally, the same company also violated customs regulations during export operations. It was noted that the data on exported goods (weight, price) declared in July did not match the information in the documents attached to the transit declaration of previously imported goods. In fact, it was found that the total value of the goods, which were previously imported and then re-exported, exceeded the actual value by about 7 to 8 times based on the documentary control of the products declared under the transit declaration.

A record of violations of customs regulations has been compiled under Article 316 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Customs Regulation.
