Azerbaijani Forces Prevent Wheat Harvesting: Sarushen Village Head

The Azerbaijani side is not allowing us to harvest wheat. This was stated by Karen Gasparyan, the head of Sarushen village in Artsakh, in an interview with NEWS.am.

“They have fired shots 5-6 times today already. They do not let us harvest the wheat, constantly shooting as soon as the combine enters the field. They know we are collecting wheat; there is a bread issue in Artsakh during these days, and that's why they shoot specifically,” said Karen Gasparyan.

He noted that the combine operator was not injured from the shots fired by the Azerbaijani side.

Earlier, the Artsakh Defense Army reported that at around 12:10 today, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire towards a combine working in the fields of the Sarushen community. Relevant information regarding the violation has been provided to the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces.
