We Are Deeply Concerned About the Deteriorating Humanitarian Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh: Patel
The spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, Vedant Patel, has addressed the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“We remain deeply engaged in ongoing communications with the parties involved. I don't have specific updates on this matter; however, we are deeply concerned about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the blockade of food, medicine, and essential supplies,” he stated.
Furthermore, according to the official, “The U.S. has continued to work with the parties over the past few weeks to allow humanitarian assistance to reach the population of Nagorno-Karabakh, and we reaffirm our call for the immediate reopening of the Lachin corridor for humanitarian, commercial, and passenger transport.”
