VIDEO: Import of Poultry Meat from Brazil and Georgia Banned from September 1 to 6

From September 1 to 6, the State Service for Food Safety (SSFS) banned the import of the following dangerous food products into Armenia due to laboratory discrepancies:

  • Poultry meat from Brazil, totaling 69,900 kg, of which 44,400 kg was found to contain Listeria monocytogenes, while 25,500 kg had pathogenic bacteria, including salmonella.
  • Poultry meat from Georgia, totaling 505.2 kg, found to contain pathogenic bacteria, including salmonella.

Additionally, based on documentation discrepancies, the import of 15 kg of oak shavings from Georgia, intended for winemaking, was also prohibited.
