‘NATO's rapprochement is unlikely to bring positive results for anyone’ - Moscow to Armenia
The Armenian people are wise and far-sighted enough to avoid anti-Russian and anti-Armenian provocations. This position was expressed by Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, according to TASS.
He stated that the population of Armenia has a sufficiently ‘objective understanding of modern international realities’ not to succumb to the desire of being drawn into NATO’s sphere of influence.
Galuzin emphasized that ‘Moscow does not dictate anything to anyone,’ but draws the attention of its partners to the fact that rapprochement with NATO is unlikely to bring positive results for anyone.
‘I am confident that the Armenian people and society understand everything perfectly and will draw the right conclusions that meet Armenia’s long-term security interests,’ he said.
Earlier, it was reported that Armenia and the United States will conduct joint military exercises. In these exercises, the Armenian army is expected to exchange experiences in command and tactical communication, as well as increase readiness for evaluation in accordance with NATO’s operational capability concepts.
