Another Sign That Turkey and Azerbaijan Are Preparing an Attack on Armenia: Turkologist Comments on Erdogan's Speech

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated in his speech after a government meeting yesterday (September 5, 2023) that "the provocative behavior of Armenia in the Caucasus" was also discussed. This was reported by Turkologist and Candidate of Historical Sciences Varujan Geghamyan on his Facebook page.

He added, "Another sign that Turkey and Azerbaijan are preparing an attack on Armenia, and such statements serve as propaganda groundwork for that purpose."

Recall that we reported yesterday that Turkologist Varujan Geghamyan noted a significant likelihood that Azerbaijan and Turkey would initiate a large-scale war against the Republic of Armenia in the coming days. We also published videos showing the movement of troops and equipment towards the borders with Armenia.

It is also worth mentioning that Azerbaijani expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan indicated that all of this could be done for two purposes: either Azerbaijan is indeed preparing actions against Armenia or it is merely an informational propaganda line. Later, the Ministry of Defense of Artsakh released footage showing the movements and concentration of Azerbaijani forces.
