VIDEO: Diamonds Found on Armenian Citizen Arriving from Dubai-Yerevan Flight

The Armenian State Revenue Committee's Western Customs Office recently uncovered a new case of customs regulation violation. An Armenian citizen arriving on a Dubai-Yerevan flight crossed the 'Green Line' entry point within the passenger customs control division, which is considered a declaration of no goods subject to customs declaration by the individual.

However, harboring reasonable suspicions regarding the transfer of goods subject to customs declaration, customs officials escorted the citizen to the 'Red Line' customs control zone after crossing the exit line of the 'Green Line'. The individual was subjected to customs control.

As a result, 655 grams of diamond-like stones were discovered, packed in 10 different polyethylene packages, each marked with carat and cut indications. The control also revealed 20 kg of 'Pierre Cardin' branded men's and women's clothing, including shoes, shirts, bags, sports suits, and socks.

A customs violation report has been prepared in accordance with Article 316 of the Law on Customs Regulation of Armenia, and the administrative procedure documents have been submitted to the Legal Department of the Armenian State Revenue Committee for further processing.
