Victor Biagov Withdrawn from Position of Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of Armenia in CSTO
The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, has signed a decree to withdraw Victor Biagov from his position as the Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of Armenia in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
“Based on the recommendation of the Prime Minister and in accordance with Article 132, part 1, clause 2 of the Constitution and Article 14 of the Law on Diplomatic Service, Victor Biagov is hereby withdrawn from the position of Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of Armenia in the Collective Security Treaty Organization,” states the decree.
Victor Biagov has also been appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands by presidential decree. “Based on the recommendation of the Prime Minister and in accordance with Article 132, part 1, clause 2 of the Constitution and Article 13, part 3 and Article 14 of the Law on Diplomatic Service, Victor Biagov is appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (residing in The Hague),” the decree reads.
In another decree, Biagov has been appointed as Armenia's Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
