The tragic accident occurred on September 2 in the Armavir region. Around 10:10 AM, on the 14 km stretch of the Yerevan-Armavir highway, in the administrative area of Zvartnots, the Toyota Camry collided with the ВАЗ 2107.

The Toyota Camry was driven by 63-year-old Ashot Hakobyan, a resident of the Armavir region, who was transferred to the Vagharsapat Medical Center, while the ВАЗ 2107 was driven by 65-year-old Gurgen Markosyan, also a resident of Armavir, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
