Ukrainian Air Defense Forces Shoot Down 17 Russian Kamikaze Drones During Night Attack in Danube Region

The Federation has attacked the southern part of the Odesa region, specifically the Kiliya and Izmail districts, using kamikaze drones, reports УНИАН.

As noted by Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, civilian infrastructure has once again come under the enemy's attack.

"The overwhelming majority of the drones have been destroyed by air defense forces. The final numbers are still being confirmed. Recently, there were reports that data is being gathered. Unfortunately, there is damage to civilian infrastructure, buildings have been damaged, and information about casualties is being verified," she stated.

The Southern Defense Forces report that during the night attack on civilian infrastructure in the Danube region, air defense forces shot down 17 Russian kamikaze drones. Destruction has been reported in two territorial communities of Odesa region.

"Several settlements in the Izmail district have suffered damage to storage and industrial buildings, agricultural machinery, and equipment of industrial enterprises. Additionally, several fires have broken out in the area of civilian facilities due to the impact of debris. There are no casualties resulting from the night assault," said Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.

According to the regional governor, all relevant services continue to work on-site, and law enforcement is documenting the crimes committed by the Russians.

It is worth reminding that it was previously reported that a strike from a Russian drone had destroyed a fuel depot intended for the Armed Forces in the Odesa region.
