Putin and Erdogan Fail to Reach Agreement on Grain Deal
According to statements made by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a press conference following his talks with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi, Russia and Turkey were unable to agree on the restoration of the grain deal, BBC reports.
“We will be ready to consider the possibility of restoring the grain deal as soon as all agreements regarding the export of Russian agricultural products are fulfilled,” said Putin after the meeting.
The Russian president accused Kyiv of using humanitarian corridors for terrorist attacks, “while Russia was ensuring the security of the grain corridor.”
