Kim Jong Un Plans Meeting with Vladimir Putin
The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, is planning to visit the Russian Federation in September to meet with President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by The New York Times (NYT), citing sources from U.S. officials and their allies.
The source emphasizes that Kim Jong Un will likely travel from Pyongyang to Vladivostok by armored train, where he will meet Putin. According to one theory, the North Korean leader may also travel to Moscow, 'though this is not definite.'
'Putin wants Kim Jong Un to agree to send artillery shells and anti-tank missiles to Russia, while the North Korean leader wants Moscow to transfer advanced technologies for satellites and nuclear submarines to Pyongyang,' the sources say.
They also claim that both will arrive at the Far Eastern Federal University to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum, which will take place from September 10 to 13.
Previously, the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Russia and North Korea maintain good, mutually respectful relations.
