Ukraine Received $100 Billion in Aid Since Russia's Large-Scale Invasion, Says Defense Minister

Since the large-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, Ukraine has received nearly $100 billion in assistance from its partners. This amount includes weapons and military equipment, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov.

“We have received various weapons and equipment, shells, and I believe it falls within the $100 billion range. Over $50 billion has come from the United States, and it is nearing $60 billion. If we multiply that by the hryvnia exchange rate, you will see how many trillions of hryvnias that is,” Reznikov emphasized.

At the same time, the minister noted that a significant portion of the defense budget allocated by Ukraine’s state budget is spent on military personnel’s monetary allowances and compensation.

It is worth noting that Denmark is set to increase its development aid to Ukraine to $160 million in 2024. Meanwhile, Britain has allocated more than $14 million to assist Ukrainian refugees. The UK’s Minister for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities announced a new support package for Ukrainian refugees on Ukraine's Independence Day, worth £11.5 million.
