Billionaire Igor Kolomoiskyi Stripped of Ukrainian Citizenship, Zelensky's Advisor

Businessman Igor Kolomoiskyi is mentioned in the criminal case regarding fraud and money laundering as a citizen of Israel and Cyprus, and he has been stripped of Ukrainian citizenship. The materials of the case were published by Sergey Leshchenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian president's office. According to Leshchenko, this destroys the widely circulated false narrative that Kolomoiskyi has not been deprived of Ukrainian citizenship and supposedly will not be extradited to the United States.

The advisor also noted that Ukraine has not received any inquiries regarding Kolomoiskyi's extradition to the U.S. It is worth mentioning that the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has chosen a preventive measure for businessman Igor Kolomoiskyi, which includes 60 days of detention with a possibility of bail set at nearly 510 million hryvnias.

The investigation believes that from 2013 to 2020, Igor Kolomoiskyi fraudulently appropriated over 570 million hryvnias and then transferred the funds abroad through banks he controlled. The billionaire denies the charges.
