Azerbaijan Intensifies Flights to Israeli Airbase Known for Explosive Armaments
Azerbaijani cargo flights to the Israeli "Ovda" airbase have ramped up in recent days, according to the publication "Hetq".
It is noted that "Ovdah" is the only airfield in Israel through which explosive munitions are exported via air.
"During August and September, specifically in the last three weeks, a cargo plane from an Azerbaijani airline, the 'Il-76TD' registered as 4K-AZ40, has made four landings at 'Ovdah':
- 15.08.2023 - Baku-Ovda (ZP 4611), Ovda-Baku (ZP 4612)
- 29.08.2023 - Baku-Ovda (ZP 4631), Ovda-Baku (ZP 4632)
- 01.09.2023 - Baku-Ovda (ZP 4641), Ovda-Ganja (ZP 4642)
- 02.09.2023 - Ganja-Ovda (ZP 4651), Ovda-Ganja (ZP 4652), Ganja-Baku (ZP 4652)
According to the report, in 2023 alone, "Silk Way Airlines" aircraft have managed to land at "Ovdah" 11 times, after which they returned to Baku or Ganja.
"It is also noteworthy that the aforementioned 4K-AZ40 flew from Baku to the Czech city of Brno on August 12 and today, September 3, which is known particularly for its firearms production," the media outlet states.
