Man Uses Train's Emergency Braking Mechanism to Smoke

In the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, a passenger on a train attempted to smoke by using the emergency braking mechanism, resulting in a criminal case being initiated against him. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“Traveling at about 150 kilometers per hour, the train passenger activated the emergency braking mechanism. The 61-year-old man explained his actions by stating that he wanted to smoke. None of the 150 passengers on the train were harmed,” the report stated.

A criminal case has been opened against the man for dangerous interference in rail traffic and for misusing emergency service calls.
