2.8 Million Drams to Reinforce National Assembly Gates
The National Assembly building is undergoing renovations alongside the Government building. Specifically, the three meeting halls of the second building of the National Assembly are being remodeled, with 13.5 million drams allocated from the state budget for this purpose. Additionally, the gates of the National Assembly are being reinforced, for which 2 million 820 thousand drams have been allocated. This is reported by the newspaper "Hraparak." Within the scope of this funding, the renovation of one gate is planned.
Presumably, in anticipation of the upcoming protest actions, the National Assembly authorities have decided to make additional reinforcements and particularly secure the gates to prevent protesters from entering the parliament building. It is worth noting that last year during the same period, they added extra bars and barbed wire. Generally, the National Assembly undergoes renovations almost every summer, which is a preferred method for utilizing or laundering the accumulated funds in the budget.
