Discussion on the Situation in Artsakh Held at the Mother See

On August 28, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin held a meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. According to the information system of the Mother See, the meeting began with a prayer, followed by greetings from the Catholicos, who offered his blessings and wishes to the participants.

During the meeting, the situation in Armenia and Artsakh, the blessing of the Holy Muron, the episcopal ordination, and the ongoing renovation of the Mother Cathedral will be discussed. Issues related to church administrative matters and the Church's missionary effectiveness will also be on the agenda.

As the meeting progressed, the Supreme Spiritual Council condemned the recent abduction of Armenian youth in the Berdzor corridor, categorically denouncing yet another act of violence and provocation orchestrated by Azerbaijani authorities, which continues the hostile manifestations of Azerbaijan's anti-Armenian policies.
