Allies Will Not Support Kyiv If Combat Operations Move to Russian Territory, Zelensky Says

Ukrainian western allies, who are assisting Kyiv in the fight against Russia, will not provide support if combat operations move onto Russian territory. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Natalia Moseychuk, reported by the BBC's Russian service.

“There is a great danger that in this case, we will definitely be left alone,” Zelensky said when asked whether the time for such operations has come. He noted that relations with allies have “decisively helped Ukraine in its struggle to regain its territory.”

Zelensky also stated that progress and responsibility for the battlefield events are “always mutual,” adding that international partners are part of any victory or delay in counteroffensive for Kyiv. According to the Ukrainian President, western allies understand all the difficulties associated with the counteroffensive.

In recent months, drone attacks have increased within Russian territory, including in Moscow. Ukraine usually denies its direct involvement in these strikes; however, it claims responsibility for drone attacks on Crimea, which is under Russian control, and promises that their numbers will increase.
