Hajizade Talks About New Meeting of Armenia and Azerbaijan Foreign Ministers

There is still no information regarding a new meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Ayhan Hajizade.

“The process continues. Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov addressed this issue during a joint press conference on August 24 with Haja Lahbib, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium. There is still no information about the subsequent meetings,” he said.

It is noteworthy that Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov last met on July 25 in Moscow during a trilateral meeting initiated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The meeting discussed the preparation of a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan.

We also recall that the last bilateral meeting between Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov took place from June 27 to 29 at the George Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center in Arlington, Virginia.
