Putin States There Will Be No Alternative to Oil and Gas in the Foreseeable Future

There will be no alternative to oil, gas, and hydrocarbon fuels in the world in the foreseeable future. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during an online meeting with the leaders of BRICS countries.

“According to expert forecasts, by 2050 the world’s population will increase by 1.7 billion people, while global energy demand will rise by 22 percent,” Putin said.

He also added that energy demand will primarily increase in underdeveloped and developing countries.
