The Hypocrisy of 'Humanitarianism': Danilov Responds to Notable Director
The war is not a film where actors play life and death. This was stated by Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, in response to director Lars von Trier on his Twitter (X) account.
“A simple piece of advice for the famous director: imagine that a Russian missile is flying over his town every day, that his father or mother has been killed, his grandson taken to Russia, while a Russian has raped his wife and burned down his house. In this case, the hypocrisy of 'humanitarianism' takes on completely different characteristics – real, not fabricated life,” said the Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine.
Danilov added that behind each living 'Russian terrorist' stands a deceased Ukrainian. The choice between executioner and victim becomes a tragedy when the artist chooses the side of the executioner, Danilov summarized.
It is worth noting that earlier the famous Danish director condemned the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine and wrote that “the lives of Russians are also important.”
