VIDEO. Hail Falls in Sevan: What Weather to Expect

Today, hail has fallen in the Gegharkunik region. Social media has already circulated a video showcasing the hail, made in Sevan today.

According to weather forecasts, from August 22-27, a high fire hazard situation will remain in Yerevan, the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, and in the valleys of Syunik and Tavush.

As per the Ministry of Environment, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas on the afternoons of August 22, 23-25, and isolated hail is possible. On the afternoon of August 26 and on August 27, dry weather is forecasted. Winds will be from the west at 2-5 m/s, with expected gusts of 18-22 m/s during thunderstorms. The air temperature will gradually decrease by 3-5 degrees on August 24-25.
