US Department of Defense Approves $12 Billion Sale of Combat Helicopters to Poland

The US Department of Defense has approved the sale of $12 billion worth of AH-64 Apache combat helicopters to Poland. The deal will include 96 helicopters and the necessary equipment, as reported by the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

According to the announcement, the arms deal being prepared for Poland will enhance the security of this NATO ally and increase its capacity to respond to current and future threats.

Earlier, on August 12, Poland's Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced that the country plans to strengthen its borders with American Apache helicopters and Abrams tanks to protect the Brest corridor.
