The Aircraft on the Fizuli-Baku Route Does Not Cross the Air Borders of Artsakh: Defense Army
The Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement: “The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spread yet another false report on August 21, claiming that the relevant units of the Defense Army suppressed the GPS navigation system of a civilian aircraft flying on the Fizuli-Baku route between 10:15 and 10:23. This statement by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has no basis in reality and cannot withstand professional scrutiny. As previously noted, the aircraft flying on this route does not cross the air borders of the Republic of Artsakh. By consistently disseminating such false statements, Azerbaijan aims to divert the attention of the international community from the daily worsening humanitarian disaster due to the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor.
It is important to reiterate that throughout the military actions of 2020 and thereafter, it has been the Azerbaijani side that has systematically targeted the civilian infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh, blocking the Lachin corridor, disrupting the supply lines of gas and electricity, and restricting access to the internet and mobile services.”
