Upcoming Weather Forecast: Brief Rain and Thunderstorms Possible in Some Areas

From August 22 to 27, a high risk of fire danger will persist in Yerevan, the Ararat Plain, and the foothill areas of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, as well as in Syunik and Tavush. This information comes from the Hydro-Meteorology and Monitoring Center.

In Yerevan, brief rain and thunderstorms are possible in certain areas during the evening hours of August 22 and on the 24th and 25th. Rain-free weather is expected on August 23 and 26-27. Wind intensification is anticipated on the evenings of August 22-23 and the 26th, with speeds of 15-18 m/s, and on the 24th and 25th, speeds will reach up to 17-20 m/s.

Across the republic, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain regions on the afternoons of August 22, 23-25, and at night on the 26th, with the possibility of hail in some areas. Dry weather is forecasted for the day of August 26 and on the 27th. Wind from the west will blow at 2-5 m/s, and during thunderstorms, wind gusts may reach 18-22 m/s.

The air temperature is expected to gradually decrease by 3-5 degrees on August 24-25.
