Eight Bodies Discovered in the Moskva River near Zaryadye
Eight bodies have been discovered in the Moskva River near the Zaryadye district. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
A criminal case has been opened by the Russian Investigative Committee regarding the deaths of the individuals, based on the article concerning the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
On August 20, a guide diver organized an illegal tour with a group of seven individuals in the underground collector of the Moskva's Neglinnaya River. During the event, heavy rain began, causing the water levels in the collectors to rise. As a result, all participants of the excursion, including a minor girl, lost their lives.
The tour organizers, Nikita Dubas and Alexander Kim, the CEO of Sputnik LLC, have been arrested. Another individual involved in the case is hiding in the UAE.
It was previously reported that during the heavy rain on Sunday, the tour organizers took a group of tourists into the underground collector of the Neglinnaya River. The water quickly flooded the collectors, trapping the travelers in a sewage trap. The tunnel, from which there was no exit, almost instantaneously flooded.
Investigators have examined the scene, investigated the collector of the Neglinnaya River, interviewed witnesses, requested documents, and ordered examinations.
