Barcelona Cancels Breakfasts and Lunches for Reserve Team Players to Cut Costs
The FC Barcelona football club has canceled breakfasts and lunches designated for reserve players. According to reports from Relevo, Barcelona decided to stop contracting third-party services that provided meals for the reserve team's players.
Previously, players from Barcelona Athletic, under the guidance of Rafael Marquez, could stay at La Masia for breakfast or lunch after training. This was optional.
However, due to the club's severe economic situation, Barcelona has opted to abandon this practice. The club believes that these were unjustifiable expenses, as not all players stayed to eat.
It is noted that Marquez himself preferred that players go home to eat after morning training to allow them to rest before the next session.
